Massachusetts

This was less of a trip and more of an extended stay, I was up there for almost two months. My sister had just had her second child, and I came up to help her transition into being a full-time mom. She'd worked through her first, but was moving into staying home with both, so I kept her company and helped out around the house with my brother-in-law and my two nephews. Spending time with my nephews was probably the highlight. I really got to know my eldest more, he was about four or five, while the youngest was still just an infant. Hanging out with them was such a trip and honestly a really cool experience. They live on coastal Massachusetts too, so I got a lot of photos of the beach near their house, and since it was fall, I took a few hikes on my own and caught some beautiful scenes. I also spent some time in Boston getting street shots - capturing the people, the culture, that kind of thing. My friend even came up and visited during that stretch, and we got to roam around and shoot together. It was a really cool experience, especially since I'd never really traveled with a friend up to that point. I'll look back on this time fondly. I was going through it a bit roughly in my personal life, and this trip gave me a lot of love and joy that I needed. A few of the photos here are also from when I went back up the following summer for both of my nephews' birthdays.
