Hawaii

This was, visually speaking, the most magnificent state in the US. By no means my favorite (see Florida's section for more on that), but truly so beautiful. My girlfriend and I traveled here for 5 days to catch her childhood friend's destination wedding. Of course, we had to make a trip of it. I thought that, just like my trip to Puerto Rico, I would only use Cinestill 400D and some black and white film, and I was glad I did. These are the most unique photos I've ever taken. The landscape and atmosphere are unlike anywhere I've ever traveled. This trip was also an adventure like none I'd done before. We were on quite the budget, so we slept in the car for a couple of nights, couch surfed for a couple more, then stayed at a hotel at the very end, close to the airport. My good friend who I worked with back home helped us out - he moved there a few years back and my man came through big time. Throughout the trip we went from crystal clear reefs to some of the steepest mountains I've ever hiked. I also brought an underwater film camera for the first time and got some amazing shots unlike anything I'd done before. Overall, this trip was one of my favorites, and I'd recommend anyone go there!
